Is there an app for picky eaters?

We are proud to present POOW, The Food Hero! POOW is the Swedish innovation that has been helping parents with their picky eaters since 2018.

In 2023, we are launching in America with full force, and we are super excited to start helping families in America. So, how does POOW work? At POOW, we use gamification, virtual reality, recipes, and fun games to break down barriers between children and food. In POOW, you will find three features that help you as a parent create a more peaceful mealtime situation. You don’t have to use all features every meal, but use the features that suit your child and situation.

Is there an app for picky eaters?

Yes there is and We are glad to tell you that POOW works well. 63% of all children using POOW eat better, and in almost 100% of the cases, we create a better mealtime situation for the whole family. It’s worth mentioning that POOW isn’t a quick fix; it takes time and engagement to make it work, but we are here to guide and support you on this journey.

Below you will find an introduction to the features.

1. The Nutrition Game

Through the nutrition game, your child can create different meals by pairing foods with the right category on the food circle. This teaches the child about nutrition and creates a playful approach to food. Let your child decide what you’re eating tonight based on their creation in the game.

2. Recipes

Cook together as a family by following recipes uniquely developed for families with children. The recipes are child-friendly as the child is activated in the cooking through clear instructions, which de-dramatizes the food when it’s time to eat.

3. The Eating Game

Let your child join the world of POOW by choosing between our 5 adventures. By playing the adventures, your child gets motivated to eat the food on the plate and try new flavors.”
